Family of Faith is a community of families, striving to be faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Our purpose is to support the families of our parish through prayer, education, evangelization, and social activities. Family of Faith provides an environment where families can come together and support one another as we face the daily challenges of being moral and faith-filled Catholics in a secular world. We are called to do this through the mission of Jesus Christ.

Some of the activities and events offered by Family of Faith include: monthly talks on Wednesday evenings covering topics and issues we face in our marriages and our families; Eight Great Dates, which brings couples together for dinner and discussion of marriage relationships; an annual Cana Dinner celebrating marriage; the annual Parish Picnic; our annual All Saints Party; a Mother-Daughter Breakfast in May; a Father-Son activity in June; and family movie nights. We will also be hosting an Advent Family Day-Retreat and a Seder Meal during Holy Week. Contact Dan Czarniecki at (313) 580-4107.

Registration Information for the Eight Great Dates Series

The program is designed to help married couples learn practical tools to build a strong and healthy marriage. Over 8 evenings, couples have the chance to discuss important issues often ignored in the rush of daily life. Each evening typically begins with a meal at your own private table. Over dinner, couples have an opportunity to spend time together with each other. Dinner is followed by a DVD presentation, interspersed with exercises and questions for each couple to discuss privately on topics such as the art of communication, conflict resolution, in-laws, intimacy, etc.. It is for any married couple who want a strong and lasting relationship with each other. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been married. Please contact the Religious Formation Office for current information and session dates.
