The Rites of Christian Initiation are steps on a journey toward full membership in the Roman Catholic Church. Non-baptized people, those who have been baptized as Christians and wish to profess faith in the Roman Catholic Church, baptized Catholics who have not celebrated Eucharist or Confirmation, and people who have been away from the community and wish to return home are all welcome to participate in the program. People who take part in the R.C.I.A. meet weekly on Thursday evenings in the social hall. There is an atmosphere of welcome, prayer, educational sharing, and fellowship. The evenings are facilitated by a team of dedicated men and women of strong faith and hospitality. The program of Christian initiation begins in the fall of the year and continues through the end of the Easter season. Adults who wish to be baptized or to complete their reception of the sacraments of initiation are solemnly welcomed into the Church or into full communion at the Great Vigil of Easter.
