Saint Paul tells the Church that when one member suffers all the members suffer. The Bereavement Ministry provides care and support to those who have experienced the death of a loved one. Members of the Bereavement Ministry are companions who walk with grieving people through the difficulty of bidding farewell. Bereavement ministers also offer support in the forms of house-sitting, a meal, baby-sitting, transportation, and their presence. Members of the ministry provide events throughout the year that enable those who are grieving to get through difficult times. Specific events include a Memorial Day liturgy, the commemoration of All Souls in November, and an Advent gathering. People who would like to share in this ministry are invited to contact Jim and Barb Gusfa at (734) 455-7684 or Ron and Maureen Marion at (734) 453-4921.
