Ministers of Hospitality

Men and woman who answer the call to this ministry serve the parish family with their welcoming and hospitable natures. They are charged with setting the tone and spirit of gatherings by greeting and directing people as they arrive at church, by assisting people with seating before liturgy begins, by caring for people who may experience distress or illness during the liturgy, by coordinating the collection, by directing the flow of the assembly at communion time, by making sure that food offerings are removed from the worship space after liturgy, and by making sure that the worship and gathering spaces and the foyer are clean and neat at all times. With the altar servers, these men and woman model postures and attitudes of prayerful participation in the liturgy for the Assembly.
