Preschool Program is for children 4 and 5 years of age and takes place during the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Parents must register their children for this program. Thanks to our dedicated catechists for the program and to Dana Caloia and Stacy Romine for taking the lead. If you would like more information, please contact Angela Hill at the parish office.
Liturgy of the Word for Children takes place during the 10:00 a.m. Mass for first and second graders only. The children leave the Mass during the Liturgy of the Word and they gather elsewhere to hear the Word of God appropriate to their age level. No registration is necessary for this program. This is not meant to be a babysitting service but our goal is to lead them into full, conscious and active participation in the Sunday Mass.
After School Program is for children in grades 1 – 6. Classes meet once a week on Tuesday or Wednesday. Once again we have a dedicated and loving group of catechists who truly want to share their faith with your children. Children are taught prayers, concepts of the Catholic faith appropriate to their age such as The Ten Commandments, The Eight Beatitudes, The Seven Sacraments, the Incarnation and certainly the Church’s liturgical seasons. To register for this program, please download all the forms and return to the office.
Pre-Confirmation and Confirmation Program is for students in the 7th and 8th grade after school and family program. The students meet on the first Thursday of the month beginning in October and ending in May from 6 – 8:30 p.m. There are also three Saturday sessions that the students are expected to attend. Please call Ann Grobbel at the parish office or email her for more information.
The Family Program – if you are interested in your family growing in faith together, this program just might be for you - welcome! Our families meet on either the first or third Sunday of the month from 1:15 – 3:15 PM beginning in October and ending in May. Inspired by the Center for Ministry Development’s “Generations – People of Faith Learning Together” Guide, families enrich their faith during the program by participating in several learning experiences: prayer services, speakers, age-appropriate lessons for children, family activities, work-sheets, crafts, Bible readings/lessons, take-home materials and many other opportunities to assist your family in growing closer to Jesus Christ. We also offer child-care during this program. For more information on the family program please contact Sandy Prebenda at x234 or email.
Sacramental Program helps our children in preparing for a particular sacrament. Our children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the second grade. The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered to our eighth grade students in the fall of their 9th grade. The students studies to prepare for the sacraments are enriched through retreats, prayer services, service projects or other opportunities to help our children grow in a deeper understanding of the sacrament they are about to receive. There is an additional $25 sacrament fee for second and eighth graders to be included with the registration fee. For more information on our sacramental program please contact Ann Grobbel at x232 or email.
